All About me!

Louis  was born December 27, 1822 in Dole, France. His family and him moved to Marnoz in 1825, and then again in 1830 in Arbois. His parents were very keen in giving him an education, Louis did not stand out or have impressive results at school, just like any other kid he studied at school, but he loved hanging out with his friends, and going fishing during holidays. While studying at Arbois University he discovered his talent for painting. In order to pursue his career as a painter he moved to Paris. He returned to Arbois shortly though, because the Paris artistic experience disappointed him. In 1840 Louis graduated high school and he was rewarded with a philology degree. Later on, he attended Ecole Normale Superieure in Paris, which he graduated from in 1847, specializing in physics and chemistry.Further on, Louis Pasteur dedicated its time to biology, crystallography and pathology, as he was extremely passionate about science. In 1848, Louis Pasteur took part of the French revolutionary movement, since he was very religious, but also a patriot. His mother’s death marked Louis Pasteur a lot, as he was not able to work several weeks after the unfortunate event. Then, in 1849, Louis Pasteur became a teacher at the Strasbourg university, where he met the woman who would be his wife and support throughout his whole life. Louis Pasteur is definitely one of the most important personalities of the 19th century.
